Washington Insurance Council
The Washington Insurance Council (WIC) is a non-profit consumer education and media relations trade association funded by member insurance companies and other insurance organizations.
Mission
Our mission is to help consumers, voters and jurors understand the value of insurance through public speaking, community service and working with the media.
Key Initiatives
Our five key initiatives are: Public/Media Relations, Community Development, Education & Outreach, Fighting Fraud and Stopping Arson.
Membership
Membership is available on a one year renewable basis.
Full Membership is available to insurance companies that write business in the state of Washington. Benefits include the following:

One seat on the Board of Directors and a vote at any meeting of the Board of Trustees

Attendance at any and all meetings of the Board of Directors

Direct input regarding WIC activities on behalf of the Insurance Industry

Ongoing updates on insurance activities and issues

Access to insurance information and statistics upon request

Membership on one or more of WIC's committees
Dues are scaled based on annual premium volume minus dividends in the state of Washington.
Associate Membership is available to other insurance organizations. Benefits include the following:
- Ongoing updates on insurance activities and issues
- Opportunities to partner on key industry issues and messages
- Media referrals on key issues
Dues are $250 per year.
