Arson Affects You

Each year, nearly 800 people die, thousands are injured and more than $1.5 billion worth of property is destroyed by deliberately set fires. Arson crimes have increased more than 400% over the past 10 years according to some estimates. Arson affects everyone. Fire-gutted buildings and burned-out businesses create a chain reaction of unemployment, higher insurance costs, and a reduced tax base needed to support schools, local government and other important community services.*

Here’s what we’re doing to stop arson and how you can help.
